The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana... Wabash River at Lafayette. .Rainfall of just over one inch fell yesterday, and will bring the Wabash River at Lafayette back above flood stage briefly from this evening into Thursday night, for about 24 to 36 hours. The river is expected to exceed flood stage by less than one foot, which will significantly limit impacts. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Lafayette. * WHEN...From this evening to early Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Water may approach a couple low county roads. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 9.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 11.6 feet tomorrow morning.
