Construction Marketing Team Lead

Position Overview

The Construction Marketing Team Lead position is assigned carrier partners in which you will grow and foster the business relationship and support the service team by conveying carrier updates to the department.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate submission documents to develop and document a winning marketing strategy that meets or exceeds the expectations of our clients.

  • Conduct program design and meet with team members to go through strategy.

  • Analyze multiple placement options and make recommendations.

  • Review and check quotes against requested terms and seek coverage improvements where possible.

  • Attend client meetings and participate in new business & renewal presentations.

  • Mentorship and training of marketing & service team colleagues; assist Large Commercial & Middle Market Client Managers with learning the skillset for negotiating renewal pricing/terms.

  • Work with Professional Development team to identify & develop topics and content for trainings.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external trading partners assigned, meet with the carriers for lunches or dinners and coordinate in-person or zoom meetings with the service teams.

  • Stay current on developments in the insurance industry including coverage form and appetite changes, conveying relevant updates for your assigned carrier partners to the teams.

  • Receive carrier production reports and loss reports to understand position with carriers assigned and meet with Jody/James to convey information as appropriate.

  • Participate in various Practice Group meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required
  • High School diploma or GED

  • 5-7 years experience in Commercial Lines or Insurance Marketing, either at the underwriting, Broker or Agency level

  • Licensed in Arizona Property/Casualty (or ability to transfer existing license)

  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, to internal and external parties

  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers and peers

  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
