5-Alarm Fire Damages Long Island Storefronts

Authorities say an overnight 5-alarm blaze ripped through a row of storefronts on Long Island. The fire broke out at 2:45 a.m. Thursday at 600 Willis Ave. in the village of Williston Park. No injuries have been reported.
Police say 13 fire departments responded. It says the fire spread through at least six storefronts. The fire was contained at about 4:25 a.m. The cause is under investigation. Williston Park is in the Town of North Hempstead.
