Colorado Springs House Fire Considered Arson

Crime tape surrounds a Fountain home as police and firefighters continue to investigate what they are calling a suspicious death. The deceased was found inside a home on Candlestar Loop when firefighters got inside the smoke-filled house early Wednesday morning. Flames had spread along the stairwell to both floors. Two uninjured pets were rescued from the house. The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) responded to the home to take care of the animals. Once firefighters determined there were no other survivors, they got to work attacking the flames, and had the fire under control within 30 minutes.
