A tour bus slammed into scaffolding in Midtown Manhattan Thursday morning, derailing a group of girls in New York for the first time to perform in a dance competition, authorities said. It happened shortly after 8 a.m. near 41st Street and 10th Avenue. There were 44 people on board the bus. At least 37 were treated at the scene and released, according to officials at the scene. Five refused medical attention and two were taken to a hospital. All the injuries suffered were minor, a fire official at the scene said.
