Eugene, Oregon Garage Fire Damages Two Homes

Flames from a garage fire in the Bethel district charred the side of a neighboring house Saturday night, causing around $160,000 in damage, the Eugene-Springfield Fire Department said. Crews were called out to the house near the intersection of Wood Ave. and Nebraska St. at around 7:40 p.m. on reports that a garage was on fire. Battalion Chief Lance Lightly said a man was working on a project in the garage when the fire broke out. The man reportedly received some minor injuries when he ran inside the house to get the family’s dog.
