Two people escaped their vehicle moments before it burst into flames at the notoriously dangerous Fairbanks Avenue curve. The car flipped over on the westbound lanes of Interstate 4 at Fairbanks Avenue just after 1 a.m. on Tuesday, according to authorities. The two people inside the car were able to crawl out before the car was completely involved in the fire. One person was taken to Orlando Health with serious injuries. The other occupant did not suffer any serious injuries. The highway was backed up for miles while workers cleared the crash, but all lanes have since been reopened.
