The flames are out, but it wasnt an easy task. Firefighters in north Iowa spent much of the morning containing a fire from becoming much worse at a local business. Battling a fire is one thing, but doing so after the first snow storm of the year, comes with its own precautions. “A couple minutes after arriving on scene, we had fire coming through the roof. So we did a defensive attack on the fire which means we committed no resources inside the building. We stayed outside of the building,” said Capt. Jared Ogbourne with the Mason City Fire Department.
