Flash Flooding Damages Nevada Canyon Homes

Heavy rain produced flash flooding near Mt. Charleston on Monday afternoon, damaging several homes in a nearby neighborhood. FOX5 weekend meteorologist Les Krifaton reported at least eight homes were damaged by the flood waters in the Rainbow community in Rainbow Canyon. He said the debris flow is nearly 15 feet deep in some areas of the neighborhood. Krifaton said the Clark County Fire Department, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue and the U.S. Forestry Department have workers in the area.
