Five men have died in an accident near Stockton Tuesday morning. Another four people were injured. It sounds like thick fog in the area could be a factor in the crash. The accident happened around 8 a.m. along Van Allen Road, near Highway 4.
California Highway Patrol investigators say six men were inside a van along Van Allen when they tried to cross over Highway 4. A red pick-up truck with two men inside was traveling eastbound on Highway 4 and broadsided the van. The driver of the van was the only one in that vehicle wearing a seatbelt.
