Lightning Strike Causes Dallas Condo Fire

Dallas firefighters said two dogs died during a fire caused by a lightning strike at a condominium near Dallas Love Field Tuesday night. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a call for a structure fire at a row of condominiums in the 7300 block of Inwood Road at 8:49 p.m. and found fire coming from the roof. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters found two dogs inside. Authorities said they pulled at least one dog out and tried to resucitate it, but both dogs died. No one was home when the fire began.
