Miami Beach Driver Crashes into Souvenir Shop

Police continue to investigate after a driver hit two pedestrians and crashed into a souvenir shop. The accident happened on the corner of Lincoln Road and Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, Monday. Police said a female was driving southbound on Collins Avenue at around 7 a.m. when she hit two pedestrians before crashing into Alvin’s Island Souvenir Shop. Police said the driver claimed she was trying to avoid something on the road. "It’s unknown if there was any other cars involved," said Miami Beach Police Detective Vivian Thayer.
