The city of Bozeman has been denied insurance coverage for legal claims by homeowners near the former city landfill. The city says it’s fighting with it’s insurance company to make sure those claims are covered. "We will continue that dispute because we believe we had coverage since 2006 and so we think there is coverage there," said Bozeman City Manager Chris Kukulski. But shortly after the first of three groups filed a letter of intent to sue, the city’s insurance provider sent notices denying the city coverage for the claims. Those claims range from health impacts to resale values of homes and residents are asking for millions in damages.
