North Carolina Bus Accident Injures Eight Children

Eight children were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning in a McDowell County bus crash. According to school officials, the bus was taking 28 children to West Marion Elementary Wednesday morning when bus driver Kim Wood swerved in attempt to avoid an oncoming car on Sugarhill Road. The bus still hit the Buick, and the bus went onto the shoulder and into a ditch. The driver of the car, Randall Webb, was transported to the hospital along with the eight children. Webb was charged with DWI and driving left of center.
