National trends show a decrease in metal theft claims, but Ohio has had increases over the last three years, according to a new report by the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Spokesman Frank Scafidi says Ohio tops the list with more than 4,000 claims in the last three years, compared to No. 2 Texas with about 3,000. But he says these numbers only account for thefts that are reported to insurance companies. Because of this, the high number may actually say something positive about Ohio.
