Passengers Survive Alabama Plane Crash

All four people on board a small airplane survived a crash near South Shades Crest Road in Helena on Thursday afternoon.The pilot, Dan Smith, his wife Sharon Smith, their son Andy and Andy’s girlfriend, 17-year-old Katie Hargrove, were on the plane when it crashed. They were traveling home to Dickson, Tennessee after vacationing in Panama City, Florida. Authorities say no one would have survived the crash had it not been for two people who heard the crash then helped pull the passengers from the plane before it exploded.
