EBay Inc came under pressure on Thursday over a massive cyber attack that compromised the personal data of its 145 million users, as at least three U.S. states began investigating the e-commerce companys security practices. Connecticut, Florida and Illinois are conducting a joint investigation into the matter, according to according to a spokeswoman for Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan. The investigation will focus on eBays measures for securing personal data, the circumstances that led to the breach, how many users were affected, and the companys response to the breach, said Jaclyn Falkowski, a spokeswoman for Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen.
