Two charged with insurance fraud in Macon

An insurance adjuster and an auto-repair shop owner are charged with stealing more than $12,000 through phony claims. That’s according to a news release from the Georgia Department of Insurance. They say Patrick Dixon, 41, and William Scruggs, 53, are both charged with 46 felonies -- 23 counts of insurance fraud and 23 counts of forgery. Both men are from Macon. According to the release, Dixon is a former insurance claims adjuster for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company.
