West Palm Beach man faces fraud charge after allegedly filing false insurance claim

A West Palm Beach man faces a charge after the Division of Insurance Fraud said he filed false claims for more than $25,000, according to an arrest report. A woman hit Frank Assouman’s parked truck in Boca Raton in March causing more than $1,500 in damages to the vehicle, the report said. Assouman, 51, was not in the car at the time, according to the crash report and witness statement. But along with the car repairs, Assouman filed a claim to State Farm Insurance for $21,815 for injuries as a result of the crash, the report said.
