The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Illinois... White River at Petersburg and Hazleton. Wabash River from Hutsonville to Mount Carmel. .Petersburg and Hazleton on the lower White River will continue to flood through the week and fall below flood stage Saturday. On the Wabash, Mount Carmel will be the last location to fall below flood stage, and will do so on Sunday. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Riverton. * WHEN...Until early Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, High water surrounds elevated river cabins. County roads to these cabins are impassable. Agricultural flooding is in progress. Seep water develops behind levees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM EDT Tuesday /9:00 AM CDT Tuesday/ the stage was 18.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 AM EDT Tuesday /9:00 AM CDT Tuesday/ was 19.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Thursday afternoon and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
