Merchants Insurance Group, is a leading Property and Casualty Insurer in the Northeast, and is looking for a Premium Audit Service Representative for our Premium Audit team located in Buffalo, New York.

The Premium Audit Service Representative will become part of a dedicated premium audit team focused on reviewing audit information provided by policyholders and/or vendors in determining additional or return premium and application of classification codes in accordance with national/local regulations.

Merchants offers its colleagues a Hybrid work schedule. The Hybrid work schedule requires 8 full days per month in the office, with the option to work the remaining days at home or in the office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviews completed audits to ensure all necessary information is obtained in order to establish proper classification and rating of all exposures.
  • Prepares Premium Adjustment Statement and current term endorsement preparation and processing in compliance with regulatory requirements and company service standards.
  • Will assist the Premium Audit Supervisor in monitoring the workflow of their assigned region including outstanding audit requests - including policyholder reports as well as physical and telephone audits.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Up to 3 years' prior insurance experience preferred and commercial lines experience a plus.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Computer experience including Microsoft office experience.
    • ImageRight knowledge is a plus.

    Merchants Insurance Group Pay information:

    Merchants Insurance Group offers a competitive pay scale. The actual compensation will be determined based upon experience and other factors permitted by law. The pay range for this position is $37,212 - $51,000.
