Auto-theft ring investigation ends in warehouse raid

A two month investigation into an East Oakland auto-theft ring led law enforcement officials to a warehouse and storage yard Wednesday morning. Officers with California Highway Patrol and Alameda County Regional Auto Theft Task Force raided the warehouse Tuesday and detained 23 people. Of those 23, 11 were arrested. Some are facing charges involving outstanding felony warrants for auto theft and drugs.
