Lawsuit Settlements Reached in Connecticut Train Derailment

Four of 28 people who sued the Metro-North Railroad in federal court after being injured in a train crash in Connecticut last year have settled with the commuter railroad, lawyers involved in the case said Monday. Terms of the deals were not disclosed. The four passengers reached agreements with Metro-North on Friday, becoming the first plaintiffs in the lawsuit to settle, the lawyers said. The railroad earlier settled with several other passengers who did not go to court.
