Mississippi Lacking In Highway Safety Laws

National highway safety advocacy group rates Mississippi as one of the nine worst states in highway safety laws.
The state received a red rating as one of the states dangerously behind in the adoption of highway safety laws. States receive a red rating if they have fewer than seven laws, and without both primary enforcement front and rear seat belt laws. Washington, D.C.-based Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety released today its 12th annual report card grading all 50 states and the District of Columbia on their performance in adopting 15 basic highway safety laws on adult and child occupant protection, impaired and distracted driving, and teen driving.
