NWS To Evaluate Possible Tornado Damage In Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Officials in Cedar Rapids said that a possible tornado caused damage on the northwest side of the city Monday night. The storm moved through just after 9 p.m. Witnesses said they heard strong winds as the storm moved in. Linn County Emergency Management officials said that there are several homes with damage near Jackson School. Damage has also been reported in Cedar Hills, along O Avenue NW from Edgewood Road to Hillside Drive. Damage was also reported in the area of Gordon Ave at West Post Road to areas near E Avenue and Wiley Boulevard. No injuries have been reported.
