Rotten Tree Falls on Home, Cars and Family

A family gathering took a tragic turn this holiday weekend when a man was killed by a falling tree. Tracey Leong has the story on this fatal accident. Howard County fire says this is just a rare and unfortunate situation where a man was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. The 75-year-old Annapolis grandpa was visiting for a barbecue when a rotten tree fell, killing him while he was grilling at a home on the 28-hundred block of Daisy Road. “I think this truly was just a freak accident,” said Marc Fischer, Howard County fire department.
