The southern Indiana tourist town of Nashville has reached a settlement with a Michigan man who accused a deputy marshal of shocking him with a Taser gun while he was having a seizure. The Herald-Times reports the terms of the out-of-court settlement between Nashvilles insurance company and Robert Newells attorney were not disclosed. The 51-year-old Three Rivers, Mich., man had threatened to sue Nashville for civil rights violations, unlawful use of force and inadequate police training.
