Storm Damage In Spartanburg, South Carolina Likely Due To Tornado

The National Weather Service said reports of extensive damage from a possible tornado touchdown in Sparatnburg were reported Thursday morning. The storm left behind a trail of damage, spanning miles along US Highway 29.

The National Weather Service said there was confirmed wind damage from a possible tornado in the area of I-26 and US 29 but crews have not officially surveyed the damage to make the official proclamation.

The reports of damage began coming in around 10:30 a.m.

Two tractor trailers reportedly flipped over along I-26 near W.O. Ezell Boulevard and multiple businesses along the highway were damaged.
