Straight-line wind gusts damaged buildings, uprooted trees and sent a 30-foot sailboat crashing through the window of a home in North Dakota on June 9, the National Weather Service said. The boat hit a home in Granville, where residents have reported numerous downed power lines and swing sets and other items flattened, KXMC television reported. Rick Krolak, a Weather Service technician, said high winds in southern Montrail County destroyed an old church storage building and overturned several campers.
