University of New Mexico Mitigating Flood Damage

With school just around the corner, UNM says cleanup crews are working around the clock to ensure that classes are in session come Monday. They say they’re racing to clean up flood damage from last week’s rainstorms. Nearly 40 buildings were damaged, including drywall, library materials and flooring. One building was struck by lightning. Operations at the recently remodeled honors college are at a standstill Monday. School officials said access to some of the classrooms is impossible, but that they will be open for school on Monday.
