This combination of cold temperatures and winds will bring wind chill values down to between 5 to 10 degrees late tonight and early Sunday morning. These will be some of the coldest readings of the season. Residents of central South Carolina and east-central Georgia should prepare property, including livestock and pets, for the unusually cold temperatures. Take the necessary precautions to ensure water pipes do not freeze. If you are home, consider allowing indoor plumbing fixtures to drip to allow water to trickle through pipes and inhibit freezing.
