Areas of Dense Fog through late morning... Areas of fog have developed over the northern Piedmont and portions of the northern Coastal Plain. Some of the fog is locally dense with visibilities of less than 50 yards. The area of fog extended from the Triad east across the northern portions of the Triangle Areas and east to Roanoke Rapids. Expect the fog to lift and conditions improve by noon. Be extra cautious while driving through late morning.
