PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE AND LOCALLY DENSE FOG WILL OCCUR
THROUGH 9 AM TODAY...
A moist, light easterly breeze ascending the higher terrain of
Schuylkill County is creating locally dense fog and patchy
freezing drizzle that could create hazardous travel on untreated
roads.
The greatest threat for the freezing drizzle will be across the
higher terrain, including Interstate 81, where temperatures were
in the 30 to 32 degree range. Visibility will be relatively higher
throughout the valleys with temperatures around 33 degrees.
Allow extra time for travel through the mid morning hours. Roads,
bridges and sidewalks that appear wet could actually be covered by
a thin layer of black ice.
