A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel very hazardous. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you.If you get stranded, stay
with your vehicle.
The combination of gusty winds and low relative humidities will
lead to an elevated fire risk this afternoon. Northwest winds
will gust between 20 and 25 mph this afternoon, which could allow
fires to become uncontrolled.
There will be an elevated fire risk again on Tuesday afternoon as
relative humidities will be low, and winds expected to be from
the southwest, with gusts of 20 to 30 mph.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn today and Tuesday. Use caution when burning as fires
may get out of hand quickly in these conditions.
