Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
The combination of west to southwest winds gusting up to 30 mph
at times and low relative humidities today will continue an
elevated fire risk until early this evening. Fire danger will
diminish tonight as relative humidities increase and winds slowly
decrease.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn today. Use caution when burning as fires may get out
of hand quickly in these conditions.
