For the Yantic River...including Yantic...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Yantic River near Yantic. * WHEN...Until tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Flooding begins at several commercial structures along west Town Street in Yantic Flats. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:02 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 9.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:02 PM EDT Saturday was 9.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tonight and continue falling to 3.6 feet Tuesday evening. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.5 feet on 10/14/1990. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
