Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...All of eastern North Carolina, including the following
areas, Beaufort, Coastal Onslow, Duplin, Greene, Inland Onslow,
Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Northern Craven, Pamlico, Pitt, Southern
Craven, Tyrrell and Washington.
* WHEN...From 8 PM EDT this evening through Thursday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Heavy showers continuously tracking northward along a stalled
surface boundary could result in 2-4 inches of rainfall with
localized higher amounts for much of Eastern North Carolina.
Heavy rain will occur around the morning commute Thursday.
