The next statement will be issued by late tonight.
Doppler weather radar indicates bands of heavier snow showers
that will move west from New Brunswick through Eastern and
Southern Aroostook County over the next several hours. These snow
showers will extend into Northern Penobscot County. The snow
showers may reduce visibilities to less than a one half mile at
times with a quick dusting of snow. Despite temperatures above
freezing the heavier snow showers will quickly cover roads and
sidewalks producing slippery conditions. Use caution when driving
into the afternoon by slowing down and having your headlights on.
Roads that may be impacted include the US Route 1, 1A, 2 and 2A
corridors along with State Route 11.
