Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Do not attempt to bypass a barricade or other road closure sign. The water in these areas is too deep for your car to pass safely. Choosing to drive into a flooded road puts your life in danger! Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
