At 909 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers along a line extending from Sistersville to near Point Pleasant. Movement was east at 20 mph. Cooling associated with the showers moving into very dry air was causing strong wind gusts. Surface observation indicated gusts as high as 48 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Surface observations indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Parkersburg, Point Pleasant, Ripley, Harrisville, St. Marys, Pomeroy, Elizabeth, Middlebourne, Racine, Forked Run State Park, Ravenswood, New Haven, Sistersville, Pennsboro, Belmont, Sandyville, Mineralwells, North Bend State Park, Lubeck, and Middleport. This includes the following highways... Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 137 and 179. Route 50 in West Virginia between mile markers 6 and 44.
