The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana... Wabash River at Covington and Montezuma. .Rainfall of one inch or more earlier this week is now expected to take the Wabash River at Covington and Montezuma back into minor flood briefly over the next couple of days. Crests are likely to be less than one foot above flood stage in both locations, well below levels experienced earlier this month. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...From this evening to Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Several hundred acres of bottomlands along the right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of Montezuma begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 13.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 14.8 feet tomorrow evening.
