Suwannee River near Wilcox (US 19) affecting Levy, Dixie and
Gilchrist Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and forecast to continue.
* WHERE...Suwannee River near Wilcox (US 19).
* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, In Gilchrist County, water floods much of
SW County Road 344 West of SW 80th avenue. In Dixie County, homes
on Water Street at Pervis Landing are inaccessible. Flooding
begins at the Suwannee River RV Park.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM EDT Friday the stage was 10.1 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM EDT Friday was 10.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 8.4 feet Friday, May
03.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
10.0 feet on 08/17/2021.
