Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/hgx. The next statement will be issued this evening at 1030 PM CDT.
Patchy dense fog is expected early this morning. The Visibility may rapidly change over short distances and will locally be reduced to one quarter mile or less at times. Slow down, maintain a safe distance between other vehicles and be alert for rapidly changing visibilities. Avoid high beams and use your low beam headlights.
