At 646 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 13 miles south of Dickens to Hayes Center to 6 miles southeast of Wauneta. Movement was southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Curtis, Hayes Center, Stockville, Maywood, Hamlet, Quick, Willow View Campground, Freedom, Hayes Center State Wildlife Management Area, Marengo, Bluegill Haven Campground, Red Willow Reservoir State Recreation Area, and Dancing Leaf Earth Lodge. This includes Highway 83 between mile markers 27 and 49.
