Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
At 204 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Angola on the Lake, or 15 miles west of Hamburg, moving east at 35
mph.
HAZARD...Pea size hail and frequent lightning along with brief,
heavy downpours.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Brief, heavy downpours will result in ponding of water on
roads.
Locations impacted include...
Buffalo Metro Area, Grand Island, North Tonawanda, Pendleton, Eden,
Hamburg, Orchard Park, and East Aurora.
This includes Interstate 90 between exits 49 and 57A.
