A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for southeastern North Carolina.
At 506 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Hestertown, or near Lumberton, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Lumberton, Hestertown, and Southeastern Regional Medical Center. This includes Interstate 95 in North Carolina between mile markers 10 and 19.
