TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, small hail is still possible with this thunderstorm. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for southwestern Missouri. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until midnight CDT for southwestern Missouri. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service Springfield.
