Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Virginia, including the following areas,
Albemarle, Augusta, Central Virginia Blue Ridge, Culpeper, Eastern
Highland, Greene, Madison, Nelson, Northern Virginia Blue Ridge,
Orange, Page, Rappahannock, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Warren and
Western Highland and eastern West Virginia, including the
following areas, Eastern Grant, Eastern Pendleton, Hardy, Western
Grant and Western Pendleton.
* WHEN...Through Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Repetitive rounds of slow moving showers and thunderstorms
are expected overnight. Rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are
possible, with localized amounts up to 4 inches.
